Howard M. Bard has associated with Lommen Abdo in an 'of counsel' position. Howard has been, and will continue to be, a partner with Bard and Bard, Ltd. in Minneapolis, a successor of the firm of Nathanson, Bard and Levy. Howard will now be calling upon the resources of Lommen Abdo as needed to provide expanded services to his clients. Howard focuses his practice in the areas of estate planning, trust, probate and real estate law and private sector labor arbitration. During the past three years, commercial real estate work, including real estate litigation, has become a growing focus of Howard's work. In order to provide a broader spectrum of services for his clients — including litigation services, family, intellectual property, corporate and taxation law — and to ensure continuity of representation in the areas in which he already focuses, Howard has now made a new connection with Lommen Abdo.
Howard is an alumnus of the University of Minnesota (B.A.) and UCLA (J.D.). He is admitted to practice in Minnesota, California and the Eighth and Ninth Circuit Courts of Appeal. He has been a member of the Federal Mediation and Conciliation Service since 1989, and is currently a member of the Minnesota State Bar Association — Estate, Probate and Eldercare Sections — and the California Bar Association. As a labor arbitrator, Howard has had over 30 published decisions in the Labor Arbitration Reports (BNA) and Labor Arbitration Awards (CCH).
Outside of the practice of law, Howard is an avid gardener. Barry O'Neil, a Lommen Abdo litigator (l) and Tom Dougherty, a Lommen Abdo business lawyer (r) are admiring Howard's garden in the photo at right.
Lommen Abdo is pleased to associate with Howard. We look forward to a strong working relationship and great client success.
