Lommen Abdo is one of the sponsors of the ABA's October Annual Meeting of the Forum On Entertainment & Sports Industries in Los Angeles. The Forum on the Entertainment & Sports Industries Governing Committee has done a superb job arranging what adds up to a considerable number of panels, 19 in total. Moreover, the panels cover a vast scope of absorbing topics in music, film, television, sports, interactive media and new technologies, litigation, merchandising and licensing, theater and performing arts, visual arts and ethics. Additionally, an astounding array of expert and skilled speakers from around the country will be on hand for the panels. On Saturday, October 14th, Ken Abdo will moderate the panel, Entertainment Law Ethics: Codes, Cases, and Conscience. This session will review essential rules and practical realities for every entertainment lawyer. Topics include multi-jurisdictional practice, conflicts of interest, non-traditional activities (shopping creative material, lawyer as manager or agent) and more.
