Lommen Abdo Welcomes Greg Perleberg

Greg Perleberg, Lommen Abdo Law FirmGreg Perleberg has joined Lommen Abdo as a shareholder effective February 1, 2012.

As part of the firm's Corporate and Entertainment, IP & Sports groups, Greg's focus will continue to be in the areas of e-commerce, technology and intellectual property. He represents clients on matters such as trademarks, copyrights, protection of trade secrets, software licensing, distribution agreements, as well as commercializing entertainment projects (films, books and music). He also provides general counsel services to a broad array of businesses. Greg's clients include high tech companies, media and entertainment companies, manufacturing companies, inventors, web designers, start-ups, restaurants, breweries, filmmakers, publishers, individual artists and athletes.

In addition to his law firm experience, Greg spent over seven years at IBM, working closely with software development teams, hardware designers, professional associations, marketing and sales teams, advertising agencies, as well as strategic business partners. He also worked for a major publishing company, focusing in the areas of electronic products development and on-line distribution.

Greg's practice and clients will now have the added support of Lommen Abdo's 40 attorneys, located in three offices: Minneapolis, Hudson and New York City. Greg is a graduate of the University of Minnesota Law School. He belongs to the Minnesota State Bar Association's Art & Entertainment Law and Computer Law Sections (former Chair of the Internet Law Committee), as well as several other national intellectual property groups. Greg teaches as an Adjunct Professor at the McNally Smith College of Music (Music Publishing & Copyright), formerly taught in the area of trademarks, is a frequent guest lecturer (recently on the topic of Social Media policies for businesses), and has been featured on FOX 9 News on issues such as internet anti-piracy and the mobile phone industry. A strong supporter of the arts and music communities, Greg's musical pedigree includes participation in the Minnesota All-State Band and he was a trumpet player with several local bands.
