Kate Westad & Lee Hutton Elected Shareholders / Nick Dolejsi Hired

Kate Westad and Lee Hutton were elected shareholders of Lommen, Abdo, Cole, King & Stageberg, P.A. on December 10, 2009.

Kate Westad is a personal injury attorney. Her cases frequently involve motor vehicle accidents, premises liability, medical malpractice and products liability. Because of her passion for preventing injuries, she recently launched the public service campaign, Focus on the Road®, which can be found on www.WomenInjuryLawyers.com. The campaign draws attention to distraction driving. One of her personal injury cases was included in Lawsuits of the Year for 2008. Ms. Westad has been listed as a Rising Star in 2009 and 2010 by Minnesota Law & Politics and was an “Up and Coming Attorney” in 2009 as designated by Minnesota Lawyer.

Lee Hutton splits his practice between litigation and sports law. His litigation practice includes construction law, professional liability, products liability, no-fault and motor vehicle law, premises liability, employment-related matters, sports/entertainment and advertising law. Mr. Hutton also represents athletes in player and entertainment contracts and assists players in with their business endeavors. He has been on the Rising Star list in 2008, 2009 and 2010 by Minnesota Law & Politics, was an “Up and Coming Attorney” in 2008 as designated by Minnesota Lawyer and was included in the “40 Under Forty” by the Minneapolis-St. Paul Business Journal.

In addition to the admission of new shareholders, the firm also hired Nick Dolejsi. Mr. Dolejsi graduated cum laude from Hamline Law School in 2009 after receiving a Presidential Scholarship, which is a full academic scholarship. He was the Constance L. Bakken Fellow and received CALI Awards (Top Performer in Class) in Tax II: Taxation of Business Entities, Corporate Finance and Professional Responsibility.
