NLRB Poster Deadline Postponed Indefinitely

4/28/2012

UPDATE to October 20, 2011 Article:
NLRB Implementation of Final Rule Requiring Employers to Post NLRA Rights Poster Postponed Indefinitely.

The April 30, 2012 deadline for all employers to post a notice advising employees of their rights under the National Labor Relations Act (NLRA) has been indefinitely postponed due to an injunction granted the week of April 23rd by the DC Circuit Court of Appeals. The contemplated poster is available on the website of the National Labor Relations Board (NLRB) at http://www.nlrb.gov/poster, and is directed to employees and lists specific employee rights and prohibited employer actions under the NLRA. According to the NLRB's website, there is no new deadline for the posting requirement at this time.

The initial posting deadline imposed by the National Labor Relations Board (NLRB) was extended from January 31, 2012 to April 30, 2012 due to an ongoing court case challenging the NLRB's authority under the NLRA to require posting of the notice.
