Entertainment and media industry professionals in the areas of music, technology and film gathered during the South by Southwest (SXSW) Interactive, Film and Music Conferences from March 11th to 20th in Austin, Texas. The ten days were filled with various panels on the music, film and interactive industries, trade show exhibitions, film screenings and artist and label showcases.
Lommen Abdo Law Firm presented the continuing legal education program, Legal Issues in the Music, Film and Emerging Technology Industries, in conjunction with SXSW. Thirty-six industry leaders filled twelve panels which addressed topics related to the current music, film and technology industries. Ken Abdo, Bob Donnelly, Paul Bezilla and Barry O'Neil presented at the conferences.
Four panels were held on March 15th during the SXSW Interactive and Film Conferences. The Interactive Conference has grown to become one of the most attended interactive conferences within the industry. The remaining eight panels were on March 18th and 19th during the Music Conference, which is one of the largest, most influential music business events of the year. Hundreds of artists showcased their music at various venues throughout Austin, including several Lommen Abdo clients.
