Karen Schlotthauer, a Lommen Abdo shareholder, is a dedicated and talented estate and trust attorney with a proven track record of providing high quality legal representation, creative solutions and customer service to a broad range of estate planning clients. Karen counsels individual clients on all aspects of estate planning, including wills, trusts, charitable planning, retirement plan distribution planning, prenuptial agreements, and estate, gift and generation-skipping transfer tax strategies. She also represents fiduciary clients on estate and trust administration matters, including the preparation and filing of estate tax returns and fiduciary income tax returns.
Karen has frequently been a guest speaker on the topic of estate planning for various organizations including Mount Olivet Lutheran Church, Thrivent Financial for Lutherans and Girl Scouts of the St. Croix Valley.
Previously, she was a principal with the law firm of Heilman & Schlotthauer, PLLC in Wayzata. Prior to joining Heilman & Schlotthauer, Karen worked for a local financial services organization and focused on retirement plan issues. She has a B.S. in Business from the University of Minnesota, Carlson School of Management and obtained her law degree from William Mitchell College of Law.
Karen offices in the firm’s Minneapolis office and will maintain an office in Wayzata to facilitate meetings with clients on the west end of the metro. |
