Dick Plagens has extensive experience in trying cases at the Office of Administrative Hearings as well as participating in proceedings before the Workers’ Compensation Division of the Minnesota Department of Labor and Industry. Mr. Plagens also has substantial appellate experience before the Workers’ Compensation Court of Appeals and the Minnesota Supreme Court. He has also represented employers and insurers in subrogation and coverage B proceedings in the state and federal district court. He has been selected as a Leading Minnesota Attorney. In addition to his own trial practice and the management of the firm’s Workers’ Compensation Section, he is also involved in the firm’s continuing client education programs. Mr. Plagens has frequently spoken at various trade and professional seminars and meetings on different topics in the field of workers’ compensation. He is active in the workers’ compensation section of the Minnesota Defense Lawyers Association and has served as a member of an advisory committee endorsing candidates for openings on the Workers’ Compensation Court of Appeals. He is AV rated by Martindale-Hubbell.
