Stephen Rathke draws on the extensive trial experience he gained as Crow Wing County Attorney in his present civil litigation practice. He is certified by the Minnesota State Bar Association as a civil trial specialist. He has represented many lawyers accused of professional malpractice or misconduct. In the past several years he has devoted more of his practice to representation of plaintiffs in medical malpractice, wrongful death and other complex personal injury cases, including cases concerning neo-natal Cronobacter sakazakii (formerly Enterobacter sakazakii) meningitis from powdered infant formula. He continues to defend commercial litigation cases and lawyers. He has always been active in attorney discipline matters as a member of the Hennepin County Bar Association Ethics Committee and representing attorneys in discipline cases. He frequently represents out-of-state companies involved in Minnesota litigation.
Mr. Rathke is included in the list of Minnesota Super Lawyers® and as a “Leading American Attorney.” He is AV rated by Martindale-Hubbell.
