Sandy Bogenrief is a certified legal nurse consultant with 30 years of diverse nursing experience. Legal nurse consultants have first-hand knowledge and understanding of medicine and the health care system. On the litigation side, Sandy is experienced in reviewing cases, providing summaries and chronologies, and reviewing hundreds of medical records on a daily basis checking for quality of care. She understands the intracacies of the Operating Room, the ICU and the Emergency Department procedures and protocols, having also been certified as Certified Nurses of the Operating Room (currently voluntarily inactive); Advanced Cardiac Life Support for Advanced Providers, Emergency Nurse Core Program; Neonatal Resuscitation Program, and Sexual Assault Nurse Examiner. Sandy is actively involved in legal nurse consultant professional organizations and ongoing educational seminars. She was a conference speaker at the 2008 AALNC on Surviving Sepsis.
