Our Real Estate and Construction Law Practice Group

Lommen, Abdo’s Real Estate and Construction Law Practice Group is anchored by Real Property Law Specialist John Giblin. John is certified by the Real Property Law Section of the Minnesota State Bar Association and has over 20 years of experience in the real estate practice area. Glenn Kessel and Keith Broady add their formidable expertise to the group. Keith Broady and Brent Johnson counsel and litigate in areas such as real estate contracts, mechanics’ liens, construction law, boundary law, environmental matters, zoning and land use and title insurance disputes.  Jennifer O'Neill represents buyers or sellers in real estate transactions, provides the opinions and can assist with like-kind exchanges.

Lommen Abdo’s real estate practice is diversified and touches on almost every real estate issue in Minnesota and Wisconsin. Areas of practice include the handling of all types of real estate transactions including purchases, sales, development contracts, leasing, bankruptcy and debtor-creditor law relating to real estate, permanent loans, construction loans, tax increment financing, loan modifications and workouts, real estate related litigation including leasing and contract disputes, mortgage foreclosures, cancellation of contract for deed proceedings, real property tax disputes, eminent domain, landlord/tenant matters, zoning and land use disputes, title and boundary matters, land title registration procedures, condominium law and commercial real estate loan transactions. 

Our work also encompasses the creation of entities to hold title to real estate, such as limited partnerships and limited liability companies. Incident to the firm’s representation of clients in corporate merger and acquisition work, our Real Estate and Construction Law Practice Group offers significant experience in the purchase and sale and/or financing and leasing of commercial real estate properties including condominiums, apartments, shopping centers, office buildings, medical buildings, office/warehouse, industrial and time share developments. We tailor our legal services to the specific real estate needs the client presents. Our goal is to deliver efficient, cost effective and practical solutions to our clients’ real estate problems.
