The craft brewing and distilling industries have been seeing booming growth in Minnesota. With that growth comes a host of IP problems that can result in litigation. Jeff O’Brien and Tim Matson discussed IP and litigation trends in these industries and gave practical tips on how to advise clients when they spoke at the Midwest IP Institute. The title of the session was “Cases of Beer: Trademark Developments in the Craft Brewing Business.”

Dangerous Man Brewing Co. came down to the Minneapolis office with growlers — chocolate milk stout, IPA, coffee porter, a peanut butter one — and spoke about their business and expansion plans! Joseph Wolf Brewery’s Sour Wheat Ale was voted Favorite Brew at the 2015 Brewers Bazaar on May 16, 2015 in Stillwater, Minnesota.  The event was presented by the members of the Stillwater Rotary Club.  Over 120 brews from 24 regional brewers were sampled by over 650 attendees.  Congratulations to the folks at Joseph Wolf Brewery and their Sour Wheat Ale for being voted this year’s favorite.
