Keenan’s book Reptile: The 2009 Manual of the Plaintiff’s Revolution, the “reptile theory” has frustrated and annoyed defendants and their attorneys. And if Ball and Keenan’s devotees are to be believed, the theory is responsible for many large verdicts. The tactics described in the book have become widespread, and it is almost unavoidable in accidents that involve commercial motor vehicles.”
